Who I am

I am a wife, sister, daughter, dog parent, friend, colleague, leader, mentor, instructional designer, web designer, technology trainer and wanderer.

As a Colorado native, I grew up in the Denver area where we camped, had family picnics and wandered all over the Rockies. I developed an appreciation for different hues of blue in the sky and always knowing what direction I was headed.

Always a wanderer, I moved to Washington DC to attend college and ended up staying a while. On a whim one summer, I visited San Francisco and within a month of that visit, I was living there. My wandering spirit took me back to Denver for reasons that were unclear until I met another wanderer, fellow road-trip enthusiast and the love of my life who has been my best friend and partner for 30+ years. Together, we have lived in Denver, Portland, San Diego and Merced, California. Every location has provided endless opportunities for exploration, adventure and learning.

I have worked as an Instructional Designer, Technology Trainer and Organizational Developer, building learning programs for over two decades. I have created course content and curriculum for just about every learning delivery modality. I have had the opportunity to develop expertise with several digital technologies, across many industries.

Ranging from Healthcare to High-Tech to Higher Ed, and from Web Design to Technology Training to eLearning, my focus has always been at the intersection of design + technology and how thoughtfully designed content leads to learning.

I’m glad that you are here. Feel free to wander around my website to learn more about me, my professional life and/or the travels of EDNA (who, yes… has her own webpage now).

Rules of my road:

  • Be Kind
  • Help Others
  • Keep Laughing
  • Keep Wandering
