I am currently a Sr. Instructional Designer at the University of California, Merced where I split my time working with faculty to design and develop student-centered course content or designing and developing LMS training and web-based resources for campus stakeholders.
A few things about me:
- I have a master’s degree in Adult Education and extensive experience with learning management systems, instructional design strategies, multimedia content development, technology tools implementation, change management processes and learning project management.
- I have 20+ years of experience developing synchronous, asynchronous, web based and instructor led course content, managing LMS’s (Learning Management Systems) managing instructional design projects, and developing and delivering engaging and impactful learning experiences.
- I possess an excellent understanding of adult learning theories, learning strategies and research-informed best practices to design and deliver engaging and effective learning to all audiences.
- I have experience with knowledge management, numerous learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Cornerstone/Saba, Moodle, Healthstream and SumTotal), data analysis, and creating processes to manage data.
- I have been involved in the design and evaluation of learning spaces and the design and development of two Faculty Centers for Teaching.
- I am a mentor, leader and advocate for making all resources for every learner inclusive and accessible .
